Adelaide ( ˈædɪleɪd ⓘ -il-ayd, 8 [ 9 ]locally [ˈædəlæɪd]; Kaurna: Tarntanya, pronounced [ˈd̪̥aɳɖaɲa]) is the capital and most populous city of South Australia, [ 10 ] and the fifth-most populous city in Australia.
