Yes. Jacto are the best hand-pump backpack sprayers. Some other small engine brands use Jacto sprayers with their paint on them. Shindaiwa sprayers were all made by Jactor. The wand and triggers are just decent, however. The best (by far) engine powered backpack sprayers are made by Maruyama.
Those are excellent sprayers. I have two. One advantage over many others is that they use an in-tank pump. MANY backpack sprayers have the pump mounted outside and beneath the fluid level, the pump develops a leak in the seal, and before you know it, you have insecticide (or worse) running down your backside and getting absorbed by the thin skin down below.
Nov 17, 2015. #1. Hi, new to ArboristSite, have a query about the Stihl SR450; I noticed on the US Stihl website it mentions the SR450 can be run as a leaf blower? And I assume a fairly powerful one; it's air volume given as 920 m3/hr, comparable to a BR500. However, I am UK based, as the UK website makes no mention of this option for the SR450 ...
I'm going to recommend the stihl sg 20 for one very good reason : dealer support. Its a good design, but most importantly, you'll always have access to parts. Most sprayer malfunctions are bad seals or orings, and being able to just run to your local dealer and grab the right one is huge.
If Stihl can't or won't help and it was registered any dealer can tell you the first owner by going on-line to Stihl's Eservice system (every dealer was issued a log on recently). If not, you can get a really good idea by comparing the serial number to the various stihl tech notes and IPLs. The serial numbers are roughly sequential and assigned ...

Most all of what I have found for backpack sprayers are targeted for 'turf' use, not trees. I'm on residences that have electric access, are'nt there any portable 1gpm ...
Go back, fill in the paperwork, and take your copy. In the big picture, it has little effect on the warranty. You need ONE of three things- Sales receipt, registration form, or, registration recorded at Stihl (either by online via the dealer, or, the paper copy posted to Stihl by the Dealer). I'd consider cutting and grinding fine steel wool to add to the epoxy. Might be overkill but can't hurt. Yep, pretty much any fiber (fiberglass, carbon fiber, cotton, polyester, paper, etc etc etc) will work to reinforce the epoxy and give it something to "soak into" to create a composite with sufficient thickness.

The genuine stihl back pack ones are alright, Ive used them without issue. Personally though for most slopes, with the harness set right Ive always found a FS400 or similar to be perfectly comfortable. 18 months ago I bought the husky trio balance harness and 345RX the combination when harness is adjusted is weightless.
