I can't find any settings for this, does any else have the same problem or a fix?

I have curved face on a solid part which I would like to offset ~ .040 inches (w/draft) to create a pocket normal to the original surface as a cut. What is the SW equivalent feature to the Pro-E Offset Feature referenced below?

My best guess in SolidWorks is to use a split line (projection from plane) onto a curved surface, then use ...

So I made a part based off the L W Th and used the override units option on the sketch dimensions. The global variables next to the red line are pulled from those dimensions, the 3/4" came in as a fraction, but the 20 and 14 remained in inches only, and all 3 display in plain decimal inches when pulled into the custom properties window (line 2).
