If you are using a Microsoft account instead of a local account, then you will not have an option to create a password reset disk. Only a local account will have that option available. After everything worked, in netplwiz I checked "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Did a restart and Win8 asked for my password. Entered it and Windows 8.0 opened. So now my local password and my microsoft account password are the same which should prevent password mis-match problems in the future.
New Thinkpad Twist with Win 8. I screwed up my ID and password, after working fine, I cannot log on. I got the ID figured out, but not sure about the original password, so whated to reset it.
