But if you had a card with say 17.99% interest, a new $100 purchase might accrue $1.50 to $3.00 in interest between the charge being made and payment being received, depending on charge and payment dates.
you can ask for them to cut you a check - you will likely get it back in a couple of weeks. i think some places will auto cut a check after 30-60 days, if you arent using the credit. Using the card for other normal spend sounds like the easier option for sure. 03-14-2024 09:18 AM.
Example: You have a $50/month Equal Pay Promo with a $250 balance remaining. You use your card. during that month to only make one purchase for $100 on Amazon and then return it for a credit. You'd expect the $100 credit to offset the $100 purchase and you'd only owe the $50 EPP.
I made some payments last Friday (2/14) with all my cards and noticed that all 3 of my Chase accounts have not updated "available credit". it looks like its reflecting what the statement #s were, but not anything in real time. Usually I understand it may take a few days for it to reflect, all payments posted (and cleared), but still no movement ...
I have an Amazon Prime Store Card through Synchrony Bank. I received a physical card, however, the credit is only good on Amazon. I started with a $1,300 CL and after a little over a year, I have a $3,400 CL. The best feature of the card is I receive a 5% back as a store credit on everything I purchase.
Looking to convert to a fee card. I know Freedom Unlimited gets 1.5% on every purchase, but it's useless for me since I get a better 2% with Citi Double Cash card and 4% on dining with my savour card. I am thinking of the Freedom Flex, it's less common, gets 1% on every purchase, but has quarteryly categories that get 5%. None of my cards get 5%.
I have both the Prime Store Card ($8k CL Sync backed) and the Chase Amazon Visa (5k CL) - use them both on a regular basis. They both offer 5% back, the store card offers 0% extended financing options for larger purchases (either or 5% or 0% financing). Just a side note, yesterday I made a small order on Amazon for just under $25, my default is ...
My recommendation is to get the account into a closed status first. Either give them a PIF or a settlement. Creditors are more likely to eventually grant GW to an account that is PIF than settled. Also, in the future, if your credit comes under manual review, a PIF looks better than a settled account.
Credit Limit for Chase Amazon Prime Rewards Visa and CLI's. Got the Chase Amazon Prime Rewards Visa for my 2nd credit card today after a Discover It ($10k CL on the Discover, but have only had a month). However, I was only given a $2k credit limit, which is way less than the Discover card. I sometimes spend over $200/month on Amazon, so to keep ...
Re: Chase - Making multiple payments per month. IMHO it could get you a CLI in the future using and paying down your account. Your making them money they like that. Discover IT $17k / US Bank Ace (VSig) $13.5K / US Bank Cash+ (VSig) $13.5k. Sam's Mastercard $15k / Walmart Mastercard $10k / Blispay $7.5k PayPal Ex MC $10.8k.
