I just passed my 3-hour test yesterday with pretty normal results. The 3-hour test has higher limits, so most people do pass it, even if they fail the 1-hour.

81. Reaction score. 0. Jun 15, 2010. #8. I also felt really nauseated after the 1 hour glucose tolerance test--didn't get much done the rest of the day, ended up having to take a long nap that afternoon. And there was no problem at all! So, not necessarily a bad sign.
So, my results for the 1 hour glucose test was 169 :( Now i have to do a 3 hour test next Thursday. Anyone had this experience and passed the second time around? Also they want me to do a 150g carb diet for 3 days straight before the test.

And if they do fail that they just need to adjust their diet a little. Rarely do you have to be put on medication and monitored.
