Much prefer the Costa 580 glass. To my eyes, no comparison. Only issue I have is my prescription is pretty gnarly that Maui Jim lenses won't support it. I haven't seen a Costa dealer. Don't own Maui Jim's, but I do have a pair of Costa's with the 580G lenses in blue mirror. IMHO, they are the best sunglasses I have ever owned.
Maui Jim sun glasses are made in Illinois. I have been wearing their prescription sunglasses for 8 years. They are pricey and run right at $600.00 but well worth the cost. I had the Maui Jim frameless 'Sport' model in prescription. The top 1/3 of the lenses delaminated after a year.
Maui every day. Also have a pair of Mueller hat bill clip on flip down, that has been up and down the West coast from Cali to Ak.with stops in between. Only ones i haven't lost besides the Maui Jims. Saw an inexpensive display in Menards that had Wrap around polarized lenses with a built in bifocal.Thinking of a pair to leave in the boat.

Twist happens regardless. Having a super strong swivel somewhere in the jig chain can help. For bait, I just spin it out every now and then—or cut off the twisted end and retie. As a word of caution, I foolishly made a Maui Jim too-good-to-be-true purchase with PayPal, and they were of zero help when I filed a grievance for the fraudulent sale.

Hey everyone, headed down to Maui in Sept and going to do some fishing from the beach. Staying on Kaanapali (i think thats how its spelt) beach, so will be fishing that area but also willing to drive and explore a little. Right now I have an 11ft surf rod with a 5000 reel with I believe 30# braid on it.

I guess it also depends on the map you are looking at and who has got his foot on the gas.
