As of the next public release, I am allowing skinning cursors in a similar style to the new default cursor. You can trigger the new behaviour by adding cursormiddle.png to your skin.
Request for a few things to add in regards to the skin.ini and ways that the cursor and related files work on the client. Over the last year, maybe two, I've figured out how to turn the cursor trail from repetitive circle images (See Example 1) into a fading trail (Example 2).
Added a new set of cursors, "White Based Set". Couldn't think of a name. This new set of cursors works best when the background is at least mostly dimmed, preferably 100% dim. The white in the center contrasts against the black very well and causes the cursor to feel smoother.

There are some duplicates because obviously some players and skins use the same elements, but I think there are at least 50 different hitsounds and 100 different cursors. All the folders are on google drive, so can you download it separately if you want to.
