Our museum was built as a state-of-the-art center for housing the aircraft and artifacts used by the Strategic Air Command during the Cold War. With careful restoration efforts and impressive displays, we’ve been sharing this critical time in our history with the next generations for 25 years.

The complete restoration of an aircraft at the Museum takes, on average, two years and approximately 10,000 hours of labor. In a normal month, 600 to 1,000 volunteer hours are donated to the museum. The annual total of volunteer hours in restoration is around 8,000.
The exhibit will open at Ashland’s Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 9:00a.m. Above and Beyond uses fully immersive experiences to explore the impact of aerospace in our world – and beyond.
