1. Hotels must be prepaid on AmEx Travel from the list or FHR and THC. 2. Payments for a single booking on AmEx Travel can not be split between 2+ CC. This is relevant for households with more than one Plat. 3. Payments at the hotel are not eligible for this credit. 4. Bookings can be as short as 1 day for FHR, and 2 days for THC.
My wife recently got a targeted 150K NLL invitation for the Amex Business Platinum in the mail. The offer invites her to apply to a ‘second Amex business card’. She got approved for an Amex business card just a month ago using a NLL offer I found online, and this new offer expires before the 90-day mark from her previous application.
AmEx “official” term for what we call Retention Offer is “Loyalty Incentive” (offer). Amex representatives/agents have no discretion over retention offers, it’s all computer/algorithm generated. Often there are 2 offers; points or miles for certain spend within certain timeframe, statement credit for same spend and timeframe.
On my Amex Statement for the Hyatt property, the charge appears as being paid to HOTEL*Delta with a Expedia group listed as the website. That stay processed correctly, and I received Amex statement credit and MQD. On my Drury Inn stay, the Amex Statement charge just says “Drury Hotels”, with no mention of Expedia or HOTEL*Delta on the charge.

Now, 33 days later, out of the blue there is a credit reversal of $200 on my account. I called Amex and agent says original credit was a mistake. I should never have received the credit and Amex just now figured that this happened to "several" accounts. She and supervisor of course could not undo this.
