    Put barrier's on the back of the ladders. To get barrier's in PE write this command, /give @p barrier. To get barrier's in Java write this command, /give @p minecraft:barrier. Barrier's are invisible blocks. When barrier held in hand you can see all the barrier's you put but when it is not in your hand they are just plain invisible solid blocks ...

  3. Minecraft mobs are not technically smart enough to climb ladders. However, they can move forward, and moving forward is all they have to do to use ladders/vines. As was mentioned above, this means that they cannot path to you if they have to go out of their way to use a ladder. But, as was likely in John the Green's case, if you run away up a ...

  4. 1. As of 1.13, tridents + pearls provide a fantastic method of quickly launching yourself upwards, by using the momentum of the trident to speed up the pearl. This is usually achieved by holding the trident in your off-hand, then selecting the pearl in your hotbar. You do need something to hit with the pearl, though.

  5. Pick a side (a block to the right or to the left of your target shaft location) that you want your torches to light the shaft. Stand there. Face your target shaft location. Dig down three blocks. As long as you didn't dig into a cavern or lava, then place ladders, fall down shaft, and finish placing ladders. Now face where you want the torch.

  6. /setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:unpowered_repeater That places a repeater facing north, with a one tick delay. If you want to create a different repeater you have to calculate a datavalue, with this formula: datavalue = direction + (4 * delay) Where the delay goes from 0 to 3, and the direction goes like this: 0: North; 1: East; 2: South; 3: West

You now have to summon an armorstand that has an item as their passenger. I.e. /summon ArmorStand ~ ~5 ~ {Marker:1,Invisible:1,Marker:1,Passengers:[{id:Item,tag:{Item:{id:minecraft:stone,Count:1}}}]}

    8. Apparently they still work, but are slower and more difficult to build. As of Beta 1.5, you are now required to look at the corner between the water and the ladders to even go up the water ladder, and the bottom of the ladder now requires three consecutive ladders without a gap. Going up a water ladder is slightly slower than before, but it ...

    This includes 'solid' blocks such as stone, wood, dirt etc. as well as 'transparent' blocks such as fence, glass panes and iron bars. Ladders and vines, exactly as the player can. Spiders cannot climb: Blocks which do not impede the player, such as grass, sugar cane, fire or flowers. Water or lava, but will behave as other mobs (swim/drown, burn).

    gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/400994/whats-the-right-command-to-make-a...

    I am trying to make a ladder only placeable on a certain block but I always get a syntax error, or a unexpected bracket. I even copied the command completely straight and exactly the same but it still does not work.

  11. The cost is calculated by assuming one Wood costs 24 (to avoid bad decimals). Planks therefore cost 6 (since one Wood makes four Planks), and Sticks cost 3 (since we make four sticks from two planks, or half a Wood per four-stack, making an eighth of a Wood per individual stick). Charcoal is the most efficient, but it's kind of special.
