I happen to know that on the mod side, each mod tells Curios what slot types it should have and how many of each it feels it should start with (Curios will provide the maximum a single mod requested; 8 mods asking for a single ring slots would only have 1 slot, but if any mod asks for 2 then it will have 2 ring slots).

Many, many mods add their own curio items (even ones that you might not expect), like jetpacks or backpacks, you just have to install them and look, or read the mod pages, if they mention anything. Botania has many utility and decorative curios. Enigmatic Legacy is mostly accessories, potions, and a bit of other misc. gear.

The /r/feedthebeast subreddit is not affiliated or associated with the Feed the Beast company. The Curios api has support for cosmetic curio slots that don't give effects but show their appearance as if they were equipped. I'm looking for a mod that enables those slots for the player to use and have had no luck with google.
By default, it has three slots: back, charm and ring (I expect there to be several more slots, but it only have these slots). Whenever I try to edit curios-server.toml (as instructed by Curios wiki), it saves properly but when I restart the server it gets emptied. It seems that it doesn't support hot-fix reload either.
Fancy Trinkets is a mod for Forge 1.18 and 1.19 about adding very customizable trinkets (baubles) using the Curios mod.
