Flowing entirely within Chautauqua County, New York, the Chadakoin River begins by emptying Chautauqua Lake at Celoron. It then flows generally eastward through the City of Jamestownto Falconerwhere it is joined by a major tributary, Cassadaga Creek, four miles (6.4 km) east of Jamestown in Levant,[14]in the town of Ellicott, New York.
