The 1984 NAIA Division I football season was the 15th season of play of the NAIA's top division for football.. The season was played from August to November 1984 and culminated in the 1984 NAIA Champion Bowl, played this year on December 15, 1984 at Estes Stadium in Conway, Arkansas on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.

Norvell then walked on at Louisiana Tech in 2000 and then transferred to the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) from 2001 to 2005 and played wide receiver. [1] He set the school's all-time reception record with 213 pass receptions for 2,611 yards and 15 receiving touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown, and 2 passing touchdowns during his career.
The stadium's first game was on February 20, 2009, when Central Arkansas defeated Tennessee-Martin 11–5. In 2010, Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Goose Gossage threw out the first pitch before a Bears game against Northwestern State. In 2011, the field hosted the Arkansas high school baseball championships.
The 2021 Central Arkansas Bears football team represented the University of Central Arkansas in the 2021 NCAA Division I FCS football season as a member of the ASUN Conference. The Bears were led by fourth-year head coach Nathan Brown and played their home games at Estes Stadium .
When Pennell landed the Central Arkansas job, Boone joined him once more as an assistant coach. After a 1–8 start to the 2019–20 season, Pennell took a leave of absence in December 2019 and eventually resigned in January 2020, with Boone taking over on an interim basis. [9]
