    Hello whiteoaks and welcome, If you are not using any Comcast static IP on a Comcast Gateway (CG) including SMCD3G, NetGear3000DCR, or DPC3939B then depress the little black reset button on the rear of the CG for minimum 15 seconds, then your CG will be set back to default setup paramters including your 10.1.10.1 direct interconnect using Enet cable to any LanPoprt 1-4 using cusadmin/highspeed.

    Needing to access the Comcast Modem 10.1.10.1 in order to set new ip addresses in firewall acceptance. I cannot access 10.1.10.1 i get the spin on Chrome and ERR_CONNECTION_RESET thats all nothing.     Got the new modem installed and it worked great for a couple days, it is now blocking access to 10.1.10.1 again. Tried rebooting the modem and still get no response, could this be from a firmware update that the new modem downloaded over the weekend, it is very odd that it stops working but I can still ping 10.1.10.1.

    2. If you are using the SMCD3GNV, is your computer directly connected to one of the Lanports 1-4? If so, you should definitely be able to login to 10.0.0.1 , username=admin, password=password (if default). If you are using another Business Class Gateway, then try same interconnect using 10.1.10.1, username=cusadmin, password=highspeed.
