I will have to call over the phone to presumably give my CC info to get charged. The department in question is: (833)-932-2073. Hertz Damage Recovery. Po Box 92116. Peachtree Corners, GA 30010. I've called the representatives at Hertz again and they couldn't legitimize this department for me.
The number is posted on signs outside the terminals, and allows you to contact that office if you need to schedule a shuttle pickup. I had that number in my phone and it disappeared this week when I changed to a new phone. This is not the phone number listed at hertz.com (+44 843 309 3009) -- that number is useless as one ever answers it.
Oh well, I will accomplish my goal of using up almost all my points before some get expired away at the end of the year, and this might then be my last Hertz rental until or unless they become a better company again. My challenge is actually using them. I have a 4 day rental coming up, but it will only offer 1 day on points, the rest on cash.
The Gold Desk person tried different options but she was confused by the situation as well. I asked to speak with the manager, but was told none was available. She asked for my phone number with the promise that a manager would call me direct "within 24-48 hours" to discuss. Suffice to say the Gold Desk never called back. Total void.
Called Hertz and the agent re-booked the reservation with Hertz number to get Gold service. But when the agent rebooked the reservation, we got Hertz Gold points instead of airline points.
