January 27, 2009. Reference no. 942. Griffith Park is a large municipal park at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains, in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The park includes popular attractions such as the Los Angeles Zoo, the Autry Museum of the American West, the Griffith Observatory, and the Hollywood Sign.
The 2000 U.S. census counted 77,818 residents in the 3.51-square-mile (9.1 km 2) Hollywood neighborhood—an average of 22,193 people per square mile (8,569 people/km 2 ), the seventh- densest neighborhood in all of Los Angeles County. In 2008 the city estimated that the population had increased to 85,489.

It runs through the Hollywood, East Hollywood, Little Armenia, Thai Town, and Los Feliz districts. Its western terminus is at Sunset Plaza Drive in the Hollywood Hills and its eastern terminus is at Sunset Boulevard in Los Feliz.
