A user shares a direct download link for EA app installer that works when the official one fails. Other users comment with their experiences, thanks, and feedback.
Move the EA App installer to a new folder in your desktop. Open that folder. Clicking inside the folder’s window, press Shift + Right click, and click “Open Powershell”. Lastly enter the command with your desired location. And yes, I’m really sure this works, I have done it in my own computer, and several other ones since I posted this.

Currently there's no DLC Unlocker for EA app on Mac and I doubt there will be one anytime soon. Maybe never. There were some tricks to keep using Origin on Windows but I'm not sure if they work on Mac. But EA might pull the plug and kill Origin servers completely, forcing you to switch anyway. So I recommend switching to a cracked version instead.
Also, if you use Steam, if you try to launch an EA game after doing this and it asks you if it can make changes on your computer, say no, because it wants to install the EA app again. If you say no, it will load the game using the old Origin version you downloaded.
I have spent months trying to get EA app to install to play Jedi Survivor. I have a higher end Dell that is less than a year old, Windows 11, and no exotic hardware or software. I’ve tried all manner of fixes, updates, and workarounds to no avail. Just happened to search again today, and found the link below on the EA support board.
When I first booted my computer this evening, my Origin install was v10.5.122, and displaying the message to force me to install EA app. None of my EA games would run. I currently have DAI, and ME LE. So, I added the migration disable parameter that I have seen described in so many recent threads here to my local XML file under programdata/Origin.
EA discontinued Origin and forced everybody to migrate to the new EA App. Then the new app had a mandatory update that didn't apply automatically on Linux, so people who had the old version installed might need to re-run the installer in Bottles to get the latest version.
