Stihl Leaf Blower, 2 years old, paid around 200. Sometimes the rip chord will pull extremely hard and jerky, then when you finally get it to pull normal is spits out gas from the muffler and will adventually start and run fine. This happens half the time I go to use it. I use 40 or 50 to 1 ratio mix incase that matters. Reply Like. Sort by.

Thanks for all who tried to help with these issues with my Stihl BR550 blower. After a lot of analysis and tests, I found the blower had a hung up exhaust valve. Stihl recommends using their decarbonization liquid to help get carbon out of the cylinder and valve chamber but I contacted four Stihl dealers but none of them carried this liquid in ...
The 600mag isnt the best machine out there, in fact its one of the worst. Mine lasted a little over a year of light commercial use (no more than 10 hrs a week) The Redmax 8500 is a much better machine. High end commercial, multi-family and residential lawn care, irrigation (LI and BPAT), and landscaping.
Rons Rightway Lawncare said: The Redmax is a 2 stroke engine. The Stihl is a 4 stroke. Both operate at nearly the same engine rpm, but the redmax is a larger displacement engine and it sucks in fuel and burns it with every revolution of the crankshaft, the stihl on every other revolution.
First of all this is not a proper spark test. Under compression air is about 9x denser, a better insulator and may prevent the voltage from sparking. It does sound like an ignition issue, check the key, flywheel gap, and measure the resistance of both primary and secondary circuits on the ignition.
Yup. Replace the spark plug first and if that doesn't work then put a coil on it. You may want to inspect the flywheel and make sure the magnet didn't fly off too. Reply Like. E. ELACESAR Discussion starter. 6 posts · Joined 2009. #3 · Jul 14, 2009. Thanks I didn't check the flywheel magnet.
Stihl BG55 Blower Problem!!! My BG55 cranks up just fine after a couple pulls with the choke on and will run great across the entire rpm range when I initially start using the blower. After the first couple minutes of running, the blower will normally bog down briefly and then I let off the throttle. Once I reapply the throttle, I can normally ...

I need to tighten the screws of the aluminum casing up, but to do that, I have to pull the flywheel as the screw heads are underneath it.

Dealer says that is normal and will go away once the blower warms up and goes through its first few tanks of fuel. For those of you who have the BR600, have you had a similar break ...
