Even though I'm the one who says that MMA fighters basically never win Boxing fights, James Toney already attempted to have MMA fights. Randy Couture is 1-0 against James Toney. Throughout the years, Toney has captured many Boxing World Championships. In Boxing fights, he has a record of 77-10-3 (with 2 No Contests).
We all know there’s been some fatalities in MMA. 20 so far, according to Wikipedia. Eight of those were in sanctioned fights and 12 in unsanctioned ones. Most of 'em came from concussive hits to the head, a few from weight cuts, and a couple more from heart issues.
This shouldn't be surprising. Like boxing, sport BJJ has inherent limitations in MMA. Butt scooting and guard pulling aren't very effective in MMA (see Kron Gracie). BJJ guys often lack the wrestling to bring the fight to the ground (i.e., Mackenzie Dern). There are a couple of other less talked about reasons though why BJJ fails in MMA.
Wasn't your point that it isn't racist? I think its like the equivalent of cracker or trailer trash. It may not mean all people, but the racial implications are obvious. Again, take it up with UD. It's right there in the first definition.
