Tales from Moominvalley. Tales from Moominvalley ( Swedish: Det osynliga barnet och andra berättelser, literally 'The Invisible Child and other stories') is the seventh book in the Moomins series by Finnish author Tove Jansson. Unlike all the other books, which were novels, it is a collection of short stories, the longest book in the series.
The story was so popular, that it spawned a sequel, a spin-off series, and a Campfire Stories companion. In 1983, Nancy Drew Ghost Stories was published, also containing seven short stories. It, too, spawned a sequel in 1985. Unlike other specials, though, the first volume was reprinted by the later Minstrel and Aladdin imprints.
