Noxxic is a rushed up guide meant for users who rush it up. You can tell how bad it is from this sole description, it's not a worthwhile guide to understand why your class works in a certain way, and the misinformation it contains certainly doesn't help. 2. Reply. scrogglez.

Noxxic is a beyond trash site, other one idk. Use icyveins and bloodmallet for analyzing specs. Go on sites like raiderio and warcraftlogs to analyze individual performance and see what people are running and how classes fit into meta. This is for a PVE perspective only btw.
Never use Noxxic. They are notoriously bad for all games they cover. Icy-veins and wowhead are the best guides. Altered-time.com is best Mage resource but Icy veins and wowhead are good. Use Raidbots website to sim your character in both specs and decide for yourself which is stronger. Gear (especially azerite pieces and trinkets) will impact ...
Never use Noxxic and never rely on DPS rankings. They're generally simmed using shitty templates. Even the ones that take player data are inaccurate since players of higher skill will gravitate towards the perceived highest DPS spec, leaving the other specs with less skilled players to get data from. 2. Noxxic gives you slightly more depth than what you get from looking at your specialization tab in-game. It's better than not having any basics, but it is aimed at simplicity. Icy Veins gives you more of the "why" you're doing what you do, and that helps you make more complex decisions. Another metaphor: Noxxic is the shallow end of the pool.

Also, unless you're a mythic raider, any class can perform well as long as you can perform well. I would pick a class that fits your playstyle.
Marksmanship Hunter (D-Tier) Beast Mastery Hunter (D-Tier) Arms Warrior (D-Tier) Frost Mage (D-Tier) Subtlety Rogue (D-Tier) In order to further understand the reasoning behind these ranks, we would recommend you read the rest of the page, as that is explained in more detail in the next few sections. 1.1.
How reliable are Noxxic DPS rankings for each class/spec. I've heard from numerous people that ret pallies aren't that great for DPS but according to the charts on NOXXIC, the DPS seems to be relatively decent, 11th on pure theoretical dps and 8th on realistic dps meters. I am also assuming that the theoretical dps are basically dps checks ...
