Hi Eric, First open File Explorer, then do the following: Open the Pictures folder. Right-click inside the folder and select View > Extra Large Icons. Next, in the top toolbar click View, then on the right end click Options > Change folder and search options. In the window that opens, select the View tab. Click the Apply to Folders button.
I've just done an In-Place Upgrade today and as expected my modified Folder icons were reset to default. So for the first time since modifying my Dropbox folder I am back to the standard folder. Interestingly, the modified desktop shortcut remained unchanged and still contains the logo image you created.
Slip of the keyboard. I unpinned the folder icon that comes standard with Win 10 on the taskbar. I replaced it with File Explorer but it's not the same format. The folder icon that comes with Win 10 on the taskbar brings up the Libraries on the left, then the right side, I think, had folder and file listings.
A few days ago my desktop was suddenly covered with these blue mountain icons. It seems that Windows 10 retired Windows Photo Viewer and replaced it with Photos app. A 1/2 hour.with customer / tech support we came up with a 30 second fix. In search bar enter "file options" and pick Windows Explorer Options. On that window pick "View".
Hi Saltgrass, Yes, it turned out that the changed icons for "Documents" and "Pictures" under "OneDrive" was caused by two desktop.ini files in the C:\Users\jjoha\OneDrive\Documents and C:\Users\jjoha\OneDrive\Pictures folders (somehow they where placed there after the update to 1607, I do not think they should be there in a standard Win 10 installation).

My new PC has Windows 10 Home, and when I open multiple explorer folders, each one also displays a little folder icon on the task bar. So if I have 5 folders open, I also get 5 separate folder icons displaying on the task bar (see attached image). My work Windows 10 Enterprise PC avoids this. Only a single folder icon appears on the task bar.
