Access and description [ edit] The trail officially begins at a low point on the Dripping Springs Trail, in the southwest part of Hermit Canyon. Access to the Boucher Trail requires a hike of about miles (4.4 km) along the Hermit Trail and Dripping Springs Trail. Cairns exist in key places and can be spotted with some careful looking.
The trailhead is located 0.25 miles (0.40 km) southwest of Hermit's Rest on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The trailhead is accessible by shuttle bus from Grand Canyon Village, Arizona on the Hermit Road. The road is closed to private vehicles between April and October annually but is open to all traffic other months.
