When flying British Airways, all checked bags must not exceed 51 pounds (23 kg) for economy and premium economy passengers and 70 pounds (32 kg) for business and first class passengers. Bags that are heavier than these standard allowances will be subject to excess baggage fees.
You can't combine your baggage allowances, so please make sure you double check allowances for each member of your family, plus the size and weight limits for hand baggage. British Airways offers a generous baggage allowance for passengers in all travel classes, with weights ranging from 23kg to 32kg per bag. Carry-on bags must adhere to size restrictions, but weight restrictions are more lenient and bags can weigh up to 23kg.
British Airways has five different fare classes. All fares do allow you to bring on a carry-on and personal item for free. Out of those five different fares, four offer a free baggage allowance. Basic is the only fare that has no free checked bags included in the fare.

British Airways passengers are allowed one (1) piece of hand baggage plus a laptop or handbag. Your main piece of hand luggage must not exceed the dimensions 22" x 18" x 10" (56cm x 45cm x 25cm), including the handle, pockets and wheels.
